Early May, many (sub)species of Yellow Wagtail can be seen on migration. A group belonging to the British taxon flavissima  was present on a little meadow near the sea at Katwijk aan Zee, on exactly the same spot as where a female Citrine Wagtail M. citreola  was found on 7 May 1999.
