This bird was present in a dune pond on the famous island of Texel. It was associating with a female Shoeveler Anas clypeata, and I can only wonder what kind of little hybrid ducklings we can expect later in the year from this encounter.
A very strong wind and not-so-long distance of this bird made digiscoping a little difficult, as I had to choose between filming through my telescope (for which the bird was too close-by), and filming through my bins (for which the wind was too gusty).
